We discussed Sara Ahmed’s Living a Feminist Life. We talked about the concept of “the feminist killjoy,” teaching feminist studies, and the feminist politics of daily life. We used these discussions to organize conference ideas and panels, as well.

We read Nancy Hewitt’s anthology No Permanent Wave: Recasting Histories of US Feminism. We discussed questioning hegemonic feminist taxonomies of waves. We addressed issues of difference. We shared pedagogical resources for women’s movements.
